Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Education

The CPD in Education Society have their own website which can be accessed at: http://sites.google.com/site/cpdstrathclyde/home

Our website gives you information about the society, why and how student teachers should get involvedevents that we are facilitating and an insight into the lives of student teachers at different stages of their initial teach education, through our blogs

Overall, we aim to:

  • Enable effective and relevant continuing professional development in the field of education through fun, engaging, innovative and unique approach.

  • Facilitate purposeful, contextualised, wide ranging professional development in education; ranging from child development, approaches to learning and teaching curriculum content and methodology as well as wider educational issues and objectives.

  • Offer opportunities for professional dialogue and collaboration across courses, departments, faculties, disciplines and sectors.

We’re pleased with the success of our work so far and are excited by the prospects for the future. This year we hope to extend our engagement with the wider education community and also make a larger, more meaningful and sustained contribution to professional development, dialogue and collaboration across sectors and professional groups. To see what we have planned and the events that we are going to, have a look at Our Events and Recent News.

We hope the content you find is interesting and informative. If you would like to find out anything else or to get in touch, don't hesitate to contact me or another member of the team.
