Debates Chamber: The Debates Chamber was renamed after the outgoing Principal Dr Andrew Hamnett
Dental Care: Executive to raise the issue of widening access to free dental care at a national level
Pole Dancing: Executive Committee mandated to ensure that pole dancing competitions are not run within the Union
Executive Presence on Campus: Executive were instructed to commit a reasonable proportion of their hours on Campus rather than in the Union building, and to circulate a newsletter to all students no less than once per month.
Peace in Sri Lanka: Support was given to non-violent action by Tamils in Sri Lanka in their struggle for peace
Swimming Pool Access: University to be lobbied to increase access to swimming pool for Sports Union Clubs
Student Representation at all Levels of University Decision-Making: Demands made to University to ensure USSA retains a seat at all levels where decisions made will have a direct impact on students (followed changes made by Principal to decision-making structures in University)
Education Funding Policy All previous policies were composited into a single policy document maintaining a strong and unwavering commitment to the principle of free education and to campaign against any proposals deviating from this position.
Association General Meeting (AGM):
Student Feedback: Executive to make improving the quality of assessment and feedback a priority
Library Investment: Pressure to be applied to ensure sustainability of library services, with a mandate to lobby for funding if required.
Charges for Essential Course Materials Education Policy Committee to propose policy to University to define what can and cannot be charged in relation to essential course materials
Complicity in Military Conflicts Association to pressure the University cut ties with BAE Systems and cancel any contracts with Eden Springs
Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM):
Save Your Degree Executive to lobby the University for a concrete commitment from the University that teaching and learning will remain at the forefront of the University, unhindered by a move to becoming a research-focused institution, and Executive to oppose any cuts to departments that would lead to research being prioritised over teaching and learning
Save Your Lecturers Executive to support industrial action by University staff concerning job cuts and merged departments
Save Your Union Union to be based at the heart of campus in a single location, and to oppose and move that fragments the services offered by the Association.
