    Have Your Say!

    The Scottish Government is consulting on the governance of universities in Scotland.

    It has come up with various suggestions to modernise and add consistency to higher education institutions across the country. The proposals include changes to the membership of court and senate; redefining academic freedom; and transferring Westminster involvement to Scotland.

World AIDs Day

    Around 100,000 are currently living with HIV in the UK and globally an estimated 34 million people have HIV. More than 35 million people have died from the virus, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.

    The External Engagement Forum continues to develop the commercial activities of the Students' Association - this means you can have a say on how our activities are run. This forum creates policies on issues relating to students as members of the University (you) and the wider community! 

    This is free to attend and open to all!

Strath Branded

    We now have a pop-up shop on level 2 which is currently home to our Uni Branded goods. You can pick up a Strathclyde University hoodie; tshirt, lab coat or tie and for the best price on campus!!

    The shop is opened Monday - Friday from 10am - 3pm throughout October. We will be launching an online store soon, look out for further details coming soon!

Glasgow Girls

    'Glasgow Girls' is a musical drama which was specifically commissioned for the BBC. It tells the inspirational true story of a group of school girls in Drumchapel whose campaigning saved their friend from deportation and inspired a movement. Their work eventually helped to change immigration policies in Scotland and won them the Scottish Campaign of the Year 2005.

The Shires

    Coffee House Sessions present The Shires.

    Playing LIVE in The Priory (level 6) on Friday 10th October at 1.30pm. This is a FREE event. 

    The Shires formed in 2013, are a UK country pop duo composed of singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes. Ben sings vocals and plays guitar and Bedford native Crissie Rhodes shares lead vocals.
