I have two questions, so it be great if anyone could answer one of them but hopefully both will get answered.
1. Are there any plans for a student band night? Something was mentioned about it in the letter I received about the union before uni started, but I havn't heard anything more about this since. I'm in a band I'm sure a lot of students are and I believe this would be a very good thing to start.
2. On a related note, I have experience working high up in an established venue, both in a technical and promtor capacity, I am very interested in doing something similiar within the union. Could someone please give me details of who to speak concering helping in this in area, or possibly even starting something up. I have emailed the union before and have received no response, so hopefully this will be more succesful.

It would be me that you would talk to about these issues. First of all, studetn bands nights. We are planning to have them, however we had organised a few but due to events ouside of our control we had to cancel some of them. They are high up on my to do list and we are planning on organising them in a different way so keep an eye out. Meanwhile email me your band name and we shall keep you on record so when the student band nights are on we have your detials and we can play you.
