The Union is run by students, for students. You voted them in to represent you. Make sure they are doing what they promised in the Exec objectives 09/10:
Executive Mission statement
The University of Strathclyde Students’ Association Executive is committed to ensuring that the following objectives are met, if not exceeded, to ensure that our service provision and representation of students is a benchmark for the rest of the country. These objectives represent a minimum expectation we hold of ourselves to ensure that the Strathclyde experience is enhanced for all students regardless of age, gender, sex, race, disability or level of study, and to ensure that all students are represented equally, and are able to access the same services and standards as any other. We acknowledge that differing demographics require differing means of communication and service provision, and we will strive to ensure that these differences are met and bridged.
These objectives will be met through active engagement with not only students, but also our staff. USSA has a breadth of knowledge, skills and experience within our core staff and we will strive to ensure that we build on this to create a staff support which is empowered to work for and on behalf of students, and is as knowledgeable in student affairs as our officers. Similarly, we shall build upon our link and relationship with the University and its key officers, ensuring that we remain a critical friend to gain the best possible experience and services for all students.
These objectives provide a means, and not an ends, to achieving national accreditation, which we strive for as confirmation of USSA a sector leader in representation of, communication with, and service provision to, our students.
