Nightline is a confidential telephone listening and information service for the students of Glasgow Caledonian and Strathclyde Universities. It is the only service on campus that offers both information and support throughout the night.
Listening
If there is something that you need to talk about, we're here to listen. Perhaps you're stressed about exams, or you're love life is going through a rough patch. Flat mate problems? Money problems? Whatever you want to talk about we're here to listen.
Our trained student volunteers provide:
Active listening: we aren't going to interrupt you and talk about ourselves.
Confidentiality: anything that you tell us will remain confidential.
Anonymity: we will not ask for your name or other personal details.
Referral: if you ask us to we can give you contact details of support groups.
Call back: if you can't afford the call we can call you back.
Information
If you need information we can help. We hold a vast file of information and we will do our best to find what you are looking for. Some of our most common requests include bus and train times, taxi numbers, library opening times, sexual health clinics, takeaway numbers and cinema listings, including;
