University of Strathclyde Anime and Manga Society
The University of Strathclyde Anime & Manga Society (USAMS) aims to be a focal point for the anime and manga community in Glasgow; A place where anime and manga fans can meet and interact with people who share their same interest. It also aims to promote the arts of anime and manga in Glasgow and Scotland in general.
The main features of the society are:
Weekly anime screenings
A special screening event is organised every semester (movies, OAVs)
Screened titles cover a wide range of genres
Emphasis is placed on anime / manga cultural aspects during meetings
The society participates in anime conventions whenever possible
The society publishes its own magazine with articles, reviews and artwork
A dinner meeting is organised for all members at the end of each academic year
