Strathclyde University Dance Society

Overview

The society holds dance classes for both male and female students, no previous experience required, in many different styles, with the intention of putting on a performance.

  • To get together people who want to dance
  • To learn new styles and to get some exercise in the process
  • To put on a performance to showcase the abilities of the dancers and show the public what they've been working on in class
  • Classes will be held on a regular basis, with the majority working towards the performance - i.e. learning routines to specific music, with the intention of performing it
  • If possible, guest lecturers would be invited to come and teach a class

Various classes take place on Monday and Thursday nights, from 7pm to 9.15pm.

Classes are held in the Playgroup Room, St Paul's Annexe (opposite The Union entrance).

Membership of the society for the year costs £8.

Dance Show

The Dance Show this year will take place in Vertigo (Level 8, The Union) on the evenings of Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of March 2008
