This year as your VP Student Development Jamie has encouraged and increased involvement in your Union in many ways, including recruiting a full Student Council. He has also represented your views to the University, The Coalition of Higher Education Students and NUS.
“I was at National conference last year and have also attended several NUS events this year, affiliation costs us £45 000 a year and it’s so important we send strong delegates who are willing to stand up for Strathclyde and hold the National Union to account, that’s why you should vote for me”
Choose NUS action on climate change. Choose one position that could really make a difference to our future. Choose Dan Glass to attend NUS Conference.
As Strathclyde Environmental committee co-convenor, this year has seen a massive increase in environmental awareness with as many interests as possible. We have worked with the University to improve resource use and are launching a massive environmental publicity campaign on campus soon.
I’m standing to attend NUS Conference and for a NUS national part time position to show that if USSA can tackle climate change successfully and with positive impacts, so too must NUS.
I’m standing to support the motions important to Strathclyde students, stand up for equality for all and environmental justice and work with all those wanting to take action to make the education sector do its job: educate and clean up its environmental act.
We must have environmental representation in NUS before it is too late. With the great start at USSA I will organise at conference to build Ecodemia: a campaigning force for change to implement the NUS climate change action plan.
Demand real action. Choose NUS action on climate change. Choose Dan Glass to attend NUS Conference. Get involved!
I’m Gurjit Singh your President for this year. I would like to go to NUS National Conference because as the chief representative of Strathclyde students I think it is important that I get to go and represent our students. Part of the job of being President at Strathclyde is to be in close contact with other representative bodies such as NUS. Therefore going to conference is part of my role.
This year I have attended many NUS events and have kept regular contact with the National Union of Students. I have made sure that the views of Strathclyde students are heard at our National Union.
For a louder and stronger voice at National Conference Vote # 1 for Gurjit Singh!
Hi, my name is Ursula and I’m the current Vice President Support and Campaigns. I have been heavily involved in campaigning on students’ issues throughout the year, making sure that the voice of Strathclyde students’ is heard and their needs catered to. I have also attended several NUS training events and conferences, where I have represented Strathclyde students.
Vote Ursula for the NUS National Conference to make sure Strathclyde students are heard.
Kevin Ward currently serves as Deputy President of the Union and has been involved as a student representative for the last three years. In this time Kevin has represented Strathclyde students at numerous NUS events and has a consistent track record for putting our students first and voting only for the policies which seek to improve what the National Union can do for our students.
Kevin’s knowledge of our Union’s policies will ensure that the delegation that you choose to send to national conference will represent the views of all our students and not just those who attend the conference.
The Deputy President is the highest representative of the student body after the President and for this job to be done effectively, it is important that you vote to send Kevin to national conference.
To make sure Strathclyde’s voice is heard by NUS, vote Kevin Ward as your first choice candidate for our NUS delegation.
