Representation
Run by students, for students
The University of Strathclyde Students' Association is here to represent all students studying at Strathclyde whether they be undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time or distance learner. To ensure that the Union always works in the best interest of students, ALL decisions are made by students from the prices in the bar to our position on tuition fees.
How the Union represents you
Student Executive
Every year a new Executive Committee is elected to represent Strathclyde students. This committee is made up of 12 student officers - 6 of whom take a sabbatical year from their studies and work full time for the Union. This committee is responsible for the day to day running and decision making of the Union but ultimately it is answerable to the student body.

Students' Representative Council
The Students' Representative Council (SRC) is the highest decision making body in the Union other than an AGM. The SRC meets seven times a year and has the power to make decisions about the running of the Union which the Executive must act upon. They are also able to hold the Student Executive to account and to make sure that they are doing their job correctly and fairly. Students are elected onto SRC in the first few weeks of semester one every year.

Association General Meeting
The Association General Meeting (AGM) takes place once per academic year and is a chance for all students to make decisions about how the Union should be run. Any student can submit a motion to the AGM and all students can attend and vote. The AGM is the most powerful decision making body in the Union and both SRC and the Student Executive must act as directed by a decision made at there.
