The Gist: Seminar on UK Energy

The Glasgow Insight into Science and Technology (the GIST) are hosting a FREE Seminar discussion about meeting the UK’s energy requirements for 2050.

Expert Speakers include:
Ian Arbon – COO of Gaia Wind Turbines
Richard Bellingham – Head of Sustainable Glasgow
Ramon Fernandez – Finance Director of Scottish Power
Patrick Harvie – Green MSP for Glasgow

The seminar is in the Debates Chamber at Strathclyde University Union at 19:30 on the 2^nd of May.

Strathclyde University Chorus End-of-Term Cheese and Wine/Concert

A chance to relax at the end of a long week of exams or work with the University Chorus's final performance this semester. A free, informal concert in the Chaplaincy Centre, with cheese and wine and an opportunity to donate to the University's Malawi Appeal.

Strathclyde Youth Jazz Orchestra pay special tribute to Duke Ellington's repertoire in a performance of original transcriptions of classic pieces such as Take the A-Train, Cotton Trail, A Portrait of Louis Armstrong and Things Ain't What They Used To Be.

What is RUSC we hear you ask?

RUSC It is Rock Up Sports Club - quite simply the best way to enjoy sports without any committment to join (yes it is totally FREE), without somebody shouting at you to do better (like PE used to be) and always something different to try (ultimate frisbee, touch rugby, jedi dodgeball)...
