We are of cause the group that have a lot of great events for you to join and feel like we are at home ^^!!
What have WE been doing???!!! Yup a LOT ^^! [most of our activies always include all thai students in Glasgow, means all from Uni of Glasgow, Strathclyde and Caledonian!]
Thai Night Party! : The party that we have a few times every year for all new and previous students to come and meet each other and of cause have FUN!!
Outdoor Activities: Summer act! BBQ party in a park, Adventure Act such as white water rafting and hiking, Winter act!! Ski and Snowboard trip! all depend on the weather (not easy to predict though --")
Making Merit together: because we don't have Thai temple in Glasgow so we travel to Edinburgh and make merit together on important Buddhist Festivals such as, Kathina Ceremony (Robe offering ceremony), Thai New Year (Song-gran day)
Charity Thai for Thailand: last year (2011) during big floods. We, thai students, have band together and raising fund for donate to Red Cross in Thailand. Which have to thank for all help, St Goerge's Tron church for vanue, Thai Siam Resturant for part of the food and ingredients, people from the church, all guests and all thai students, that make the event sucessful and we receive a lot of donation. Thank You.
We also have many more Events, which we joining with Samaggi Upper North Region Thai Association. (ex. Upper North Unity Sport)
