Student Wellbeing Group

The Student Wellbeing Group has developed over the last couple of years so that staff within the different support services on campus can come together and work on joint initiative, collaborate on campaigns and exchange information on a monthly basis.

During 2011-12 it became clear that the different services on campus had a lot of potential to do more collaborative working, this became especially clear while working towards the NUS Healthy Body Healthy Mind Award and Think Positive.  In 2012-13 there was ncreased partnerships and group working with the biggest event being the first ever Exam Bootcamp which involved everyone.  2013-14 allowed even more combined working and more support services joining the group to help promote student wellbeing, run events and gather student opinion.

In 2014-15 USSA started working with student groups like UniBoob Team to raise awareness for breast cancer and with RAG to raise awareness and money during Movember.  We are currently starting to make plans for 2015-16 so if you have issues you would like us to campaign on or highlight to students please send your suggestions the the Vice President Sports & Wellbeing or Advice Hub Staff.
