No party shall be liable to any other party or any third-party for third-party claims or losses of any nature. www.strathstudents.com reserves the right to remove any marketplace listings or any advertisements for any reason.

These terms shall be governed by Scots law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts. Nothing in these terms shall exclude liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Tickets for trips or events - conduct

I understand that by purchasing the ticket I undertake to ensure the reputation of the relevant Society/Club is upheld during the trip/event and I will behave in a way which does not put other members at risk or bring the Society/Club or the Association into disrepute, and meets with the behaviour defined in the Code of Conduct.

I undertake to inform the trip/event organisers of any issues or occurrences which may cause harm or hazard to any participants on the trip/event.

 

Union Loyalty Card


General Union Loyalty Card scheme conditions


•The Union Loyalty Card scheme is operated by the University of Strathclyde Students’ Association (USSA), 90 John Street, Glasgow, G1 1JH.
•The latest terms and conditions will be updated here at www.strathstudents.com/terms
•USSA can cancel, withdraw or alter the scheme, including these terms and conditions, or any individual Union Loyalty Card account, at any time.
•The Union Loyalty Card scheme is only valid for use on selected products in selected Union outlets and is not currently available for use online.
•Your Union Loyalty Card is your University of Strathclyde Matriculation Card; USSA do not issue cards for the scheme.
•USSA can take any action it considers appropriate if we have reason to believe that you are abusing the scheme.
•Use of additional offers and benefits associated with your Union Loyalty Card account are subject to availability.
•USSA will remove Union Loyalty Card points from accounts that haven't been used for 2 years or once university student status is no longer applicable.

Data protection


•The University of Strathclyde provide the details we need to run the Union Loyalty Card through your Matriculation Card and as such we will not share your details with any other party.


Collecting Union Loyalty Card points


•The standard number of points you will collect are 5 points for every £1 you spend on qualifying purchases. Points will usually be added to your Union Loyalty Card account at the time you buy products and services included in the scheme.
•Currently points can be collected on any item bought in the Barony level 2, Gameszone level 3, Scene level 4, Priory level 6 and Vertigo level 8.
•If you forget your Union Loyalty Card, please ask at the till to have your receipt. You will need to provide the Finance Office on Level 9 with the receipt within 28 days of the transaction along with your Union Loyalty Card to be able to collect your points.
•Points are not available on any items bought from the shop or bank on Level 3, vending machines, gaming machines and jukeboxes or online purchases.
•Currently points cannot be collected on Sports Union or Clubs & Society memberships.
•During points events, existing points promotions will not be multiplied.
•USSA reserves the right to amend or withdraw points promotions/offers without notice.


Spending Union Loyalty Card points


•1 point is worth 1 penny to spend on products in the Union. We will not exchange Union Loyalty Card points for cash and the offer is non-transferable.
•Due to Scottish Licensing Laws points cannot be spent on alcohol.
•Points cannot be spent on any items bought from the shop or bank on Level 3, vending machines, gaming machines and jukeboxes or online purchases.
•Currently points cannot be spent on Sports Union or Clubs & Society memberships.
•If you do not have enough points to cover the cost of the item you can make a part payment towards a product or service.
•You will not qualify for points or extra points offers when you pay in full or in part with points.
•We reserve the right to substitute or remove products and services available for points collection and redemption without notice.
•Spending points may be subject to network availability

Returning goods


•If you return a product for refund, we will deduct the number of points collected from your Union Loyalty Card account.

 

FAQs (and answers!)



How do I collect points in the Union with my Union Loyalty Card?
When you get to the till, hand your Union Loyalty Card to the cashier together with what you are buying. Your points will be instantly added to your card.

How do I collect points on-line with my Union Loyalty Card?
We are working on this but currently you can’t collect or redeem points on any online sales.

Can I still collect my points if I have forgotten my Union Loyalty Card?
If you have forgotten your Union Loyalty Card ask the cashier for your receipt when you make a purchase. You can bring it in to Level 9 Finance Office with your Union Loyalty Card; points can be transferred from your receipt onto your card. This must be done within 28 days of making the purchase.

How do I check my points balance?
There's a Union Loyalty Card statement at the bottom of your till receipt, which will tell you how much you have to spend or you can ask a cashier at the point of sale.

How do I spend my points?
You can spend your points any time and get that wonderful 'I've paid with my points feeling'. When you get to the till, just hand over your Union Loyalty Card and let the cashier know you would like to pay with points. The total price in points will then be taken from your Union Loyalty Card. If you do not have enough points to fully cover the cost of your purchase you must make up the rest of the payment in cash.

What do you do with my data?
Nothing! We use the data provided by the University of Strathclyde simply to add or remove Union Loyalty Card points on your account.

The till network is down, will I still earn or be able to redeem points?
If we have network problems we will tell you at the point of purchase that points may not be collected or redeemed.

I have lost my card, what happens to my old points?
Your points from your old card will be transferred to your new card; this may take up to 28 days to appear. If you have yet to receive your new card from the University keep any receipts and points can be added to your new card by Finance Level 9 up to 28 days after a purchase.  

I’m an ERASMUS / Exchange student, can I use my card to earn and redeem points?
If you are completing a degree course from an institution other than the University of Strathclyde (i.e. you are an ERASMUS or Exchange student) unfortunately we can’t use your matriculation card as a Union Loyalty Card.

I’m completing a degree course at Strathclyde but my card isn’t scanning / barcode isn’t registered, what is wrong?
If your card isn’t scanning and the barcode isn’t registering at the till point you should contact University Registry as they have access to the database and will be able to check your matriculation card for any issues.

I’ve bought a lots at the Union before the launch of the Loyalty Card; can I have those purchases as points?
Only purchases made on or after November 12th 2012 will gain points.

Freshers' Pass & Gold Card Priority Entry

Please note that priority entry for those who have purchaesed bands is strictly limited to 15 minutes after the doors to the venue have opened. after that point those without passes will also be permitted entry. You should ensure early arrival to guarantee entry.

Booking Forms

By completing and signing our booking form you are committing to pay the relevant advertising fee (as specified on the form) within 30 days of receiving the invoice / completing the activity.

Freshers' Week 2015 Stall Holders

By completing and signing our booking form you are committing to pay the relevant fee (as specified on the form) either before the event or within 30 days of receiving the invoice / completing the activity.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment and in achieving Green Impact status stall holders should be aware that this year we have a ban on stall holders giving out plastic bags and would request any giveaways be done in paper or cotton bags.
