Want to work in the Union?

The University of Strathclyde Students' Association caters for a diverse student membership of approximately 16000 full-time and 8000 part-time students from over 100 countries, based at the heart of the City Centre in Glasgow.

We offer a range of opportunities and services for our members, but our main function is to provide Students at Strathclyde with representation.

Student Involvement Manager

University of Strathclyde Students’ Association (USSA) is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Student Involvement Manager to lead our non-commercial activities.

Over the past year USSA has built the foundations for success and is now looking for a Student Involvement Manager to work closely with our Student Officers and CEO to accelerate involvement and engagement of the student body at Strathclyde.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing the Union’s student facing services including representation, education, volunteering, welfare and clubs and societies activities.

This is a particularly exciting time to be joining USSA as we are currently working with the University on a £60 million building that will be the new home of the Students’ Union from 2020. Your leadership and insight will bring added value as we work to enhance the student experience in the heart of Glasgow.

USSA is the representative body for all students at the University of Strathclyde. As a student-lead charity we exist to represent, support and enhance the lives of the 23,000 students at the University.

USSA is open to a variety of backgrounds, but would particularly welcome applicants from within the Students’ Union movement or more broadly in membership organisations or the charity sector.

Applicants should submit a CV and covering letter to the Chief Executive, Manish Joshi (manish.joshi@strath.ac.uk), by 5pm on Monday 31st July 2017.

Interviews will be scheduled for the week commencing 7th August.
