Aims & Objectives:
- For members to obtain a knowledge of the process and history behind all types of whisky productrion, which would include visits to working distilleries, whisky events and question times with guest speakers involved in the industry
- Monthly nosing and tasting sessions to explore the complexity of whisky flavours and the wide range available in a relaxed and informal environment. A lot of people have mentioned that they would like to drink whisky, but have no idea where to start! The society aims to change that and openly invite people to be challenged and encouraged into developing their own passion and appreciation for whisky
- To encourage members to be sociable and an active part within our society. The trips to distilleries and sampling meetings encourage this, but also include events such as ceilidhs, live music and general get togethers!
