Strathclyde Feminist Society

Women's Action Network

USSA Women's Action Network (formerly known as Women's Group) is an exciting group in the Union representing all women at the University of Strathclyde. We provide a platform for students to raise funds for, and awareness of, important projects in Glasgow as well as helping ensure students who identify as women have the best uni experience possible!

We will always accept men to the group who are ready and willing to fight the patriarchy with us but only those who identify as women can run for committee roles.

Our committee are:

Our AGM will be held in the first week of the new semester. Come chat to us at the freshers' fair if you'd like to get involved!

Planned Campaigns

Our priority campaign this year will be tackling sexual harrassment and slut-shaming. We don't think a woman's worth is based on how many sexual partners she has had, we don't think anyone else should either. Women should be free to express their sexuality as they see fit!

In addition:
We have connections with Women's Aid, Say Women and Rape Crisis Scotland.
We want to help student carers get the most from their university career.
We want to create a network for women involved in clubs and societies to ensure they get the most out of volunteering.
